Eirems

Behind the Scene

Inside Our Manufactory

Where timber becomes furniture. A tour of the Eirems production floor — the machines, the hands, and the decisions that shape every piece we make.

Our Atelier, Industrial Zone, Damietta

The Eirems production floor covers 4,200 square meters across a two-level atelier in New Damietta City. Founded in 2023, it operates with a team of 28 craftspeople — joiners, upholsterers, finishers, and quality controllers — most of whom have been in furniture crafting for over a decade.

Everything Eirems makes is made here. No outsourcing, no third-party assembly. The decision to keep production in-house is not economical — it is a refusal to compromise the one thing we believe matters most: knowing exactly what was done, and by whom.

Frame Construction

How a sofa skeleton is built — executing precision cuts to ensure strict adherence to required dimensional tolerances and structural specifications.

Springing & Webbing

Hand-tied eight-way coil or sinuous springs provide the foundation for our seating collections. The springing is tied by hand — not by machine — because hand-tying produces a more nuanced, contoured support surface. Sinuous springs are used for back support, calibrated to each piece's specific comfort profile.

Padding

We use a layered foam system — high-resilience base foam topped with softer transitional foam and a final layer of natural fiber wadding. The density varies by section: firmer at the seat pan, softer at the arm and back. This gradient is what distinguishes long-term comfort from initial impression.

Foaming

Applying the foundational Dacron wrapping to the primary core for optimal ergonomic support and surface softness.

Ticking

Fabric is cut by hand, using pattern pieces developed for each silhouette. A complex sectional sofa can take one upholsterer up to seven full days.

Uphlostery

Aligning the tailored upholstery cover to the underlying substrate to finalize the external dimensions and surface aesthetics.

Toning & Lacquering

Executing the final application of the transparent finishing film to achieve the strictly specified gloss tolerance level.

Contact Points Balancing

Calibrating the basal contact points to ensure exact planar alignment and establish perfect structural equilibrium.
